Christine Lockhart, well known Veteran player, now competing in the VLTA National Championships at Wimbledon, has recently won another title in the Doe Sport Bearsden Summer Series Tournament in Glasgow, her 5th title in this event, showing excellent form ahead of the National event. Jordan Gray won the Men's event for the 4th time.

Les Maclean. Doe Sport (North) Limited director, pictured bottom row left with Christine next to him and Jordan bottom right, said after the finals on Sunday 10 August - "Doe are delighted to be celebrating Christine's 5th win and Jordan's 4th during the 14 years that Bearsden have been holding this event and, at the same time, celebrating our 5th successive year of sponsoring this well established ratings tournament". The tournament, held in brilliant sunshine, was played on Doe's Casolon synthetic grass carpet a popular and successful Doe surface for 20 years.

The oldest CASOLON courts installed by Doe and still in play are a block of 3 at Beechwood LTC in Coventry laid 16 years ago and now due to be resurfaced by Doe in September 2003.
